Behind Closed Doors
Depending upon what is behind one’s closed doors, determines the course of action necessary to facilitate the recovery process. Usually what prevents people from opening their doors is the fear of thinking they will be found out. Since there is a lot of shame and guilt accompanying clutter, one tends to feel isolated and alone. When one does reach out for “help”they are looking for assistance from someone who can understand their pain because they recognize that moving past the clutter and getting organized is so much more than just putting things away. Most people are looking for a structured plan that will encompass the tangible, linear application as well as the emotional empowerment aspect. Therefore, an organic process can take place which will allow a person to “let go” without compromising their belief system. It’s important to stress that although it may appear one door is being closed, the reality is that another door is opening full of simplicity. This audio will discuss 5 things people learn through the de-cluttering process and 3 key questions they need to ask themselves.

Can Feng Shui Bring Us Love, Money, and Happiness?
Some people believe by implementing Feng Shui concepts into their lives they can find much of their heart’s desire. Some people attest to finding their dream jobs, getting better grades in school, developing deeper intimate relationships, and so forth. I am curious, do you think utilizing Feng Shui practices can help with living an organized life? Well, I will tell you, up until this point, I have been, well, how can I say it, a tad skeptical. However, as my business evolved, the topic of Feng Shui continued to appear in front of me in some of the most interesting ways. Eventually I just said, ‘OK Pat, take your own advice here. You are always preaching an open mind sees opportunities that others miss, so what do I need to see that I may be missing from the topic of Feng Shui?’ As I started to explore the subject matter a little bit more, I found some connections with living an organized life simply fascinating.

Distractions No More – Breaking The Cycle
Distractions can be intrusions that create confusion…Why do I say this? Because it’s true! Listen, I am the first to admit that I indulge myself in the occasional daydream from time to time. It’s fun, it’s healthy and it’s a great way to take a mini-vacation from the daily stresses. However, I can recognize the difference quickly between the simple mind excursion and the outright constant tape playing over in my head. What about you… Can you distinguish the difference?
- Does your mind gobble up too much space re-thinking things?
- Does that movie reel keep playing over and over?
- Does your mind wander to places that are more carefree too often?
- Do you feel out of control?
- Are you not getting things accomplished because of the distractions?
Understanding why we allow distractions in the first place is the first step in helping us deal with them. I often hear people claim that they have no control over getting distracted when people…“show up unannounced” or “knock on their office door without an appointment” or ” get caught at the water cooler listening to someone’s problems” Believe it or not, although you may feel that these are uninvited distractions, the truth of the matter is, you welcomed them by allowing it. There are many types of distractions and in this class we are going to take a look at them all so you can regain control over your thinking and stay focused.

It’s the memory or the idea of something that never came to fruition that keeps them holding on. Are you going through something similar right now? Coping With Change
Change is not always easy. Some of us resist change because we become comfortable and cozy in our world as we know it. For some, change can bring about fear and denial. However, depending upon our perspective, change can be an opportunity for personal growth and self-discovery. One way to accept change into our life is by understanding that change is constant and inevitable. Each new day shows us that this is true – it is the ebb & flow of life. Once we learn how to embrace change, we can help minimize the impact it sometimes can have on us. Developing a personal strategy plan can also help maintain overall balance and keep our emotions in check. In this class we are going to discuss the emotional aspects of change and how it plays a critical role with:
- Managing and maintaining your organization
- Keeping up with your routine
- Creating free time in your life
- Becoming more effective and productive
- Balancing your financial life
- Overall emotional well being
